One of the most common things in our daily life is soap. Especially now, with all the emphasis on hand washing a huge spotlight has been shown on what we keep by the side of our sinks or in our showers. Personally I haven’t had a bar soap in my shower or at any of my sinks in years. Let me correct that by saying my husband has to have his bar soap. I guess it’s a “guy thing”.
Long ago I had opted for the “fancy” liquid soaps that looked pretty with all their colorful packaging and claims to be superior.
All that came to a screeching halt when I began to notice my hands turning red and my skin all over became irritated and dry. I began piling on the lotion to try and ease my skin. That did no good at all and my skin began to get worse turning red and actually hurting when I went to wash my hands. Then it started to spread to other parts of my body.
What in the world was going on?
I began to frantically grab for anything I had in the house to put on my burning and cracked skin. And I had it all from the years I spent in the cosmetics industry. There had to be something that would give me relief. Nothing gave me relief. I even began calling all my friends for advice to see if someone had any ideas for me. That is not something I did lightly as I was the one they were always asking for cosmetics and skin care advice.
I finally broke down and called my doctor.
After an assessment of my symptoms that were progressively getting worse, he prescribed a steroid cream telling me it could be anything. UGH. I am not one that likes taking any type of medication but at this point I was so miserable with my burning, bleeding and cracked skin I decided to apply it. It really intensified the burning at first but then seemed to give me mild relief after a few hours.
I was still avoiding washing my hands or getting any of my skin wet at all.
I pushed on trying to find something that would basically give me my life back after months of my skin, especially my hands causing so much pain and discomfort. I was catching up with one of my girl friends and decided to send her pictures of what was going on with my skin. Well I guess that seeing is definitely believing because she was horrified by the images and said she knew of something I should try. At this point I was highly doubtful that anything could even touch what was going on with my skin.
She persisted and said she was confident that she knew of something that would help. The next day a package arrived for me in the mail. That’s a good friend right there that overnights you something to help you. I was hopeful but very doubtful that this was going to be “it”. Inside the package was a bar of soap and some cream. I was thankful for my good friend but still highly doubtful this could touch my serious skin issue that I had now been experiencing for months.
It was getting close to dinner when I got the package, so I washed my hands with the soap waiting for the searing pain. To my surprise it didn’t hurt! As a matter of fact the bar lathered up so nicely that it was really soothing to my hands. I was SHOCKED! For months I had dreaded washing my hands and now it actually felt like it was helping them!
How could this be?
Well, come to find out the soap contains mineral-rich Dead Sea mud.
I had never heard of products that had minerals from the Dead Sea in them. Come to find out minerals found ONLY in the Dead Sea are known to cure skin disorders through strengthening the skin tissues, maintaining chemical balances of the skin, stimulating blood circulation and eliminating toxins. These same minerals provide protection and strengthen cell membranes against dehydration and environmental stresses.
WHOA! Now I got it.
I actually had the thought that maybe these products could help me. I did more looking into the Dead Sea and found that there are quite a few products out there, including soap that claim to have the Dead Sea minerals in them. However, I discovered that the products my friend sent me were from a company called SEACRET and they have patented blends with the highest concentration of these minerals available in them.
SEACRET products are also manufactured by L’Oreal which I knew from my background has a stellar reputation and is the largest cosmetics companies in the world.
After 15 hours of washing with the SEACRET Mud Soap three times and applying the Mud Therapy Hand Cream and Body Butter my hands stopped hurting! I was shocked. A lot of the redness was gone and I had suppleness back to my skin. I was so grateful I almost started crying. I took video and pictures of the next 3 days and 5 days and 7 days.
Each day my skin got better and better until all the redness, bleeding, cracking and irritation were gone all over my body and my hands that were effected the most. I truly feel I have discovered a miracle and I have replaced all my fancy liquid soaps for something that I know is healing to my skin and body. I won’t be fooled again by pretty packaging. I want what is best by every sink and in every shower in my house.
Needless to say my husband loves the Mud Soap too and can’t refrain from telling me he told me so, that bar soap is the best.
